Autodesk Inventor is largely used within the Mechanical Engineering, Product Design and Manufacturing industries.

Requirements

No previous Inventor experience is necessary. A general working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and basic knowledge of English language and literacy are required.

A basic understanding of mechanical engineering terminology would be helpful but not essential.

Career path

Inventor is an excellent alternative to Solidworks and is used widely within Engineering and Product Design firms. There are many career openings once learning Inventor such as becoming a product designer, mechanical engineer or inventor. Salaries for these types of careers can vary from (£20,000 to £30,000+).
