This course is designed to appeal to those individuals who are new to payroll and want to gain an understanding of payroll principles and wish to become professional senior payroll processors. It will also offer certification for those who have good experience of working in the payroll environment but have not, as yet, gained a recognised qualification.

Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements; however, it is important that you have good basic skills in numeracy and literacy which will be assessed during the enrolment session.
You will also need to be computer-literate, with the ability to move around a computer screen with confidence.

Career path
Should you be working in an accounting environment you will find that this qualification gives you a very solid background knowledge of the theory of accounting and double entry. It covers the higher level requirements for a senior accounts clerk. Salaries range from £20,000 to £28,000 based upon experience and qualifications.
