Assessment
To successfully complete GCSE Mathematics Foundation, you must complete 3 exams. These exams must be sat under supervision at an official exam centre. There is a separate fee for booking your exams, which will be paid directly to the exam centre. We’ll help you book your exams when you’re ready! They’ll occur in May and June.
Paper 1: Non-Calculator
- 1 hour and 30 minutes written exam
- 33.3% of overall GCSE Mathematics Foundation mark
- A mix of question styles, from short, single mark questions to multi-step problems.
Paper 2: Calculator
- 1 hour and 30 minutes written exam
- 33.3% of overall GCSE Mathematics Foundation mark

- 33.3% of overall GCSE Mathematics Foundation mark

Requirements
There is no entry requirement for GCSE Maths Foundation.
Assessment
You will first complete the assessments included in your course materials. These will be marked by your personal tutor and will prepare you for your exam.
Exams
You are required to complete 3 written exams that take place in May and June. Each exam is worth 33.3% of your overall GCSE mark.
- Paper 1: 1 hr 30 min exam, 33.3% of GCSE
- Paper 2: 1 hr 30 min exam, 33.3% of GCSE
- Paper 3: 1 hr 30 min exam, 33.3% of GCSE
Exam Fees
There is a separate fee for the examinations paid directly to the exam centre at the time of booking. We’ll help you book them when you are ready.
