Ideal if you have completed 'French Fast track: module 1' or 'French beginners: module 2' in June or have studied French for at least 6 month recently and want to progress to 'French 2 lower' in September.

Description

This course aims to enable you to communicate in French in everyday situations. It will strengthen your knowledge and introduce new structures and vocabulary gradually. You will build up your confidence in all four skills with the emphasis on speaking and listening.

Based on units 7–9 of 'The French Experience 1' (BBC, new edition).

For students who have covered Units 1-6 of the BBC French Experience 1 or who have an equivalent level in the language. You will also need to be able to understand basic spoken and written information in English (e.g. simple instructions, course documents) and be at ease with the use of numbers for daily activities (e.g. using money, telling the time etc).

Please note that the above outcomes are flexible as the pace of the lessons will depend on the achievements of the group of students.

The classes are based on the communicative approach. The emphasis is put on speaking and listening. There will be pair and group work as well as role plays. Audio-visual techniques will be included whenever convenient and some homework is normally expected. Please note students are expected to participate in oral classroom activities.
