A gentle introduction to French literature. You will read at least one book a term and meet every other week to analyse and discuss details to develop your understanding of the French language and writing style. Course dates: 29/04/19,13/05/19, 20/05/19, 3/06/19, 17/06/19.

Description

The course is to ease you onto reading full length contemporary books in French. To learn about authors and understand the scene behind the writing.

A gentle introduction to French literature. You will read at least one book a term and meet every other week to analyse and discuss details to develop your understanding of the French language and writing style. Course dates: 29/04/19,13/05/19, 20/05/19, 3/06/19, 17/06/19.

You will need to have at study French for at least 6 years. You need to have good oral skill as the course is delivered in French and participation in French will be expected.

- to read a short book in French

- understand about certain written style

- discuss an author.

You will need to read passages of the book chosen between sessions and also read some extracts material regarding the book and author. You do not have to read the book fully before the start of the course.

The book will be advertised before Easter.
