Overview
This qualification is part of the BTEC Professional Qualification framework and is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills they are required to possess to work in pre-hospital care.
The newly designed FPOS course is now more intensive; designed to provide delegates with the skills necessary to treat casualties in medical emergencies prior to the intervention of the emergency services.
Over a period of 7 days, students will be taught on roles and responsibilities of a First Responder, core emergency care, recognising and managing trauma and medical conditions, incident management and a host of advanced first aid theory and practical skills. This includes triage casualties, the stabilisation of accident and trauma victims, how to assist Paramedics and official handover procedures, safe methods of extracting casualties from vehicles and accident kinetics.
This course is highly practical and delivered by experts, including former Military and Emergency service personnel.
Alpha Safety have also sought approval to deliver the BTEC Levle 4 FPOS Qualification thorugh ELCAS, making this the ideal choice for serving and ex-military personnel with Enhanced Learning Credits.
