A truly fascinating area, Forensic Science is used in the service of law. To study this area involves the application of knowledge to legal issues, as well as analysis of the scientific methods employed to provide evidence to support and resolve criminal investigations.

Focussing on the core skills, competencies and knowledge expected from industry professionals, this course is tailored to give students a solid grounding in forensic science. You’ll build your understanding of the different types of crime scenes, and discover the different techniques and methods employed to solve criminal investigations. You will also explore the fascinating areas of human anatomy and physiology, as well as learning about extracting DNA, crime scene reconstruction and criminal profiling.

This fascinating and popular course has no entry requirements, and is open to students with basic numeracy and literacy, as well as a strong interest in this area of study. We have designed the Forensic Science course to be as accessible as possible, and send out a comprehensive study guide to new students, to help them ease into student life.
