The Extended Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (Islamic Finance and Banking) is composed of (i) Diploma in Business Management (SCQF, Level 11), a qualification that is credit-rated by SQA, and (ii) Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Islamic Finance.

Career path

Holders of this qualification can choose to top-up to a traditional MBA awarded by a UK university or, alternatively, to a Masters degree (MA) in Islamic Banking, Finance and Management, awarded by Newman University (UK).

The post-graduate level will be valuable for those already holding a professional qualification (including a qualification in accounting, finance, or related professions) who is employed in banks or other firms in the financial sector. The Post Graduate Diploma is also suitable for graduates of any discipline with no previous knowledge of finance and who, for professional or personal reasons; wish to secure a stand-alone qualification in Islamic Finance. It is also ideal for those who wish to undertake post-graduate work and whose first degree is in an unrelated field.
