The Events sector is a fast-growing industry with more and more business organisations realising its powerful marketing potential. Effectively delivered, an event has the potential to generate new business, increased brand awareness, help foster new partnerships and provide important pieces of content to create momentum and increase engagement. Who is this course for?

All of our courses are designed for beginners who wish to 'break the ice' on their chosen subject in the shortest time possible. Rather than elaborate on the theory of a subject, our training is fully focused on teaching hands-on production skills and techniques, and all of our trainers are full time media producers working in their chosen fields. If you are seeking to get up-to-speed at a rapid pace, and to have the opportunity to discuss your concerns in detail with an experienced producer, look no further.

Requirements

We have no specific requirements in order to attend our courses. In fact, we supply all of the technology required for your training. Our fully kitted out training room has seven top-of-the-range iMac computers with the latest software. All of our courses include lunch (sandwiches, crisps, fruit, chocolate and drinks) and a quiet private studio environment that has been tailor-made to assist your concentration and to ensure that you get the very most from your training with us.

Career path

All of our trainers are experienced producers with decades of knowledge in their chosen professions, and they are in the unique position of being able to impart concise and accurate career information and advice. More than a few of our students have subsequently gone on to secure high paying roles in the industry. Several of them have even come back to teach for us over the years!

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
