Overview
Man has always been intrigued by dreams. Since time immemorial, man has held the belief that dreams could foretell future and also give a glimpse of life that has passed. Certain ancient civilisations also held the belief that dreams were a way to communicate with God or other supernatural powers. But, it would be mere fantasy to assume that dreams have the power to tell or even foretell something. Dreams are in reality a manifestation of the thought processes stored in the subconscious mind. A lot of memories are stored in the subconscious mind; in fact, it keeps a record of everything that happens during the lifetime of a person. It is from this subconscious mind that dreams originate.
In recent times, various scientific studies have been conducted to understand the process of dreams and its relation with the human psychology. Furthermore, various schools of psychology have also come up with their own studies and theories regarding dreams and their interpretations. The process of understanding dreams and assigning meanings to them is called Dream Analysis. Extensive studies on dreams and their connection with the human psyche have been conducted by Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
Description
The state of consciousness that the mind enters when the body is asleep is bound neither by time nor by space. Within the space of dreams, the impossible becomes possible and even the irrational appears to be logical and practical. It is a realm that is free of limitations and here, everything can be done and anything can be achieved. But, as a process that is associated with the mind, it is important that dreams are understood. The study of dreams is important to understand the though process of a person and how they impact on their personality.

Who is this course for?
This course has been designed specially to provide explanations about dreams and what is to be interpreted from them. The aim of the course is offer assistance to individuals to understand their dreams and sleep process. It will also be of immense help to the therapists trying to help by providing logical explanations to their patients who come to them seeking justifications for their dreams. The course would be beneficial to the students who wish to gain insights into the various methods of dream analysis and its use in trying to comprehend the subconscious mind.

There are No entry requirements. No background training or qualifications are required. Anyone can enrol at any time, beginners, intermediates and experienced all year round.
