Diploma in Water Chemistry & Diploma in Water Treatment Bundle

This bundled course offers Diplomas in two subjects that goes hand in hand which will undoubtedly improve your employability, equipping you with skills needed to become a professional in water treatment, environmental science, environmental engineering or water chlorination related careers. The study of water chemistry is about analysing and maintaining the quality and condition of water, while water treatment is the process used to improve the quality of water. Studying these two courses together will not only help you get two accredited qualifications at discounted rates, but will also allow convenient learning of two interconnected subjects.

The Diploma in Water Chemistry – Level 4 will study the impact of water on various elements in other ecosystems and how their collaboration affects water and the quality of water. With this course you will learn how to identify and qualify properties and chemical compounds in water samples. In addition to learning about the nature of water and its unique properties, you will also get to review the molecules that form water, including insight into the commonly-found water chemistry. This course also dedicates a few modules that will delve into topics such as hard water, alkalinity inorganic chemistry, metalloid and many more. The Diploma in Water Chemistry – Level 4 will also cover concepts such as chemical monitoring and water treatment principles along with chemical hygiene plan and laboratory safety, providing you with an outstanding knowledge on water chemistry.

The Diploma in Water Treatment - Level 4 is a comprehensive study of the process of water treatment involving the contribution of specialised plants, processes and systems that ensures the wellbeing of all lives that consume water. This course will extensively cover the areas of water, starting off with an introduction to the concept of water treatment and its importance in the modern world. You will then move onto learning the concept of chlorination, its importance and its byproducts, after which the course will walk you through the essentials of water disinfection and its byproducts. This course also aims to strengthen your knowledge about oxidation chemistry and oxidising agents that play a significant role in disinfecting water from dangerous bacteria and viruses.

The courses have been endorsed under the Quality Licence Scheme (QLS). This means that Imperial Learning Limited* has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The learner unit summary may be used as evidence towards recognition of prior learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the courses have been benchmarked at Level 4 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

The courses themselves have been designed by Imperial Learning Limited* to meet specific learners’ and/or employers’ requirements which cannot be satisfied through current regulated qualifications.

The QLS endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.

Eligible for TOTUM card - TOTUM is the #1 student discount card and app giving you access to exclusive student deals on food and fashion, tech and travel, and everything in between.

*Regulated qualification refers to those qualifications that are regulated by Ofqual/CCEA/Qualification Wales

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
