The Diploma in Disinfection Basics at QLS Level 3 course is designed to cover the fundamental principles of water disinfection. Disinfection refers to the process of cleaning something, especially with a chemical, in order to destroy or control bacteria and viruses. Not all bacteria and viruses can be destroyed by disinfection. However, it can be used to control bacteria and viruses from spreading. Disinfection method is mostly practiced within hospitals, households, collection systems and in public health. Disinfection can be used for various purposes within these sectors, however, the goal of destroying and controlling bacteria and viruses remain the same.

Disinfection is an important concept that is essential in various aspects of life. From medical purposes to household purposes, disinfection plays a huge role in destroying and controlling bacteria and viruses. It has become mandatory for professionals in the medical, collection, water supply and public health industries to have mastered the basics of disinfection in order to perform their duties and responsibilities effectively.

The Diploma in Disinfection Basics at QLS Level 3 is mainly designed to provide these professionals and individuals interested in this field with the basic principles of disinfection. The course will give learners insight into waterborne pathogens and the disinfection rules. They will learn about Halogen and chlorine and their role in disinfection. Have a clear understanding of alternative disinfectants and respiratory Protection and the importance of disinfection.

Access Duration

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course. The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.

Method of assessment

In order to complete the Diploma in Disinfection Basics – Level 3 successfully, all students are required to complete a series of assignments. The completed assignments must be submitted via the online portal. Your instructor will review and evaluate your work and provide your feedback based on how well you have completed your assignments.

Please Note: Additionally, £159 (Inc. VAT) is charged for assessment and certificate and you need to pay that when you are submitting your assessments only (It is not required to pay initially when you are registering). This payment can be paid into 02 installments when you are submitting your assessments.

Certification

Those who successfully complete the course will be issued the Diploma in Disinfection Basics at QLS Level 3 by the Quality Licence Scheme.
