Overview

Developing the Mindfully Creative Leader

Things are changing - too quickly. Leadership in 2018 and beyond is pretty complex, frustrating and demanding. To cater for this evolution we must have greater levels of self-awareness, motivation and understanding.

The perfect storm is upon us

These two factors are making the situation worse…

The mishandling of BREXIT, making the future uncertain, business is frustrated and losing Heart, which again does not inspire confidence and investment results in the stagnation of the economy.

The Implementation of the Apprenticeship Levy which is driving down productivity as employers are having to pay the Levy which has stopped them developing existing and future Managers and Leaders as their training budgets are diverted to paying the Levy Tax.

In essence what this means is that Finance Directors are saying to training departments the Levy is now your training budget, thus stopping all other types of meaningful development, as companies have reduced the investment in developing their people.

We need to develop another 1.4 million managers by 2024, just to tread water where we are economically at the moment. So, the government has it wrong again…we can’t just afford to wait and see what happens, we need to take action.

There are opportunities to be had even in difficult times, companies that tend to buck the trend will invest more in their people. The evidence for these numbers comes from two sources, the first is Find courses 2018 L&D report, its cracking data, an independent study Learning Report 2018 and the second is the CMI; always on point with their data - News Letter Wins Top Industry Award …

I have developed this programme which will help you overcome these hurdles.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
