Overview
Many people work with hazardous chemicals and substances without really giving it a second thought. But employees working in such diverse places as farms or swimming pools do come into contact with harmful materials and should know how to work safely with them.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) were written in order to deal with substances that can cause harm to persons in the workplace.
This COSHH course will introduce you to the COSHH legislation and help you to identify substances that are harmful to health and how to apply the appropriate controls needed to prevent or reduce exposure to them.
