Who is it for?

The CompTIA Network+ certification is ideal for anyone starting their career as a Network Professional. Having validated your basic skills with the CompTIA A+ certification, this qualification is particularly recommended for students who wish to progress to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Microsoft MCSE / MCSA / MCITP qualifications.

Are there are requirements?

There are no formal requirements for this course or certification. It is, however, recommended that you have approximately a year of industry experience, or a CompTIA A+ certification before starting this course.

What skills will I gain?

This course covers network technologies, installation and configuration, media and topologies, management, and security. You’ll learn how to distinguish between different types of networks; identify common network topologies; and implement and troubleshoot basic wireless networks. The course will build on your abilities to monitor networks for performance and connectivity issues, while making you more aware of network attack types.

Companies such as Dell, HP, Ricoh, Sharp and Xerox recommend or require CompTIA Network+ for their networking technicians. It is also a technical prerequisite option for IT technicians seeking to join the Apple Consultants Network.
