Overview

The purpose of the Community Development & Services Level 4 Diploma program is to prepare candidates with the necessary skills and academic knowledge to fulfill the role of a Community Development and Service worker.

Community Development and Services workers provide many types of assistance to people in the community, from determining eligibility for welfare and health programs to helping those involved in drug and substance abuse.

They help determine and locate appropriate social service agencies such as those providing health care and physical and mental rehabilitation.

The course fee covers registration, learning materials (PDF/eBooks) and assessment. Graduates will be awarded the Level 4 Community Development & Services Diploma within 24 hours of successful course completion subject to a single payment of £15 for soft-certificate and £20 for its printed version, payable to the UK Home College.

Description

Candidates of the Community Development and Service Management course will study best practices for community capacity building and improving community well-being. It will focus on the knowledge and skills required to effectively support the community development and service process. The materials used in the course to convey the skill-set that a community practitioner needs for effective community development and service activities.

The course will start with an overview of the range of community development and service models as well as community development practices employed in diverse settings.

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to work under the direction and supervision of counselors, social workers, and other professionals, and depending upon the type of work assignment, they may become a member of a treatment team made up of other community development service workers, or they may work for local councils and other related organisations.
