About the CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training

We deliver the following two courses specifically for site supervisors:
Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
& Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme Refresher course (details below)


These courses are endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group (UKCG) as the standard training for all supervisors working on UKCG sites and provides an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

These courses focuses on the legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.

The Site Supervisor Safety Training course will be completed over a duration of 2 days total. You will have professional guidance from highly qualified and experienced instructors.


Suggested progression: re-qualification / refresher every 5 years.

Description

What does the course consist of?

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of:

  • health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors
  • your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely
  • risk assessments and the need for method statements
  • effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
  • monitoring site activities effectively
  • timely intervention when bad practice is identified

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
