Overview
The CITB Health and safety awareness course provides a practical summary of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues identifying individual responsibilities regarding the duty of care you have to yourself and to others. Also covered are Employers Duties and Responsibilities and a broad spectrum of Construction related Safety issues.
Description
A 1 Day course with a written exam (multi-choice) at its conclusion, all aspects of construction site safety are covered in detail, on successful completion a Certificate will be awarded which last for 5 years, there is no refresher as delegates are expected to progress with NVQ's, CPD and other CITB Courses such as SSSTS and SMSTS.
Who is this course for?
those entering the construction industry for the first time of more experienced workers undergoing Health and Safety Training for the first time, this qualification is mandatory for those wishing to obtain a CSCS Card.
Requirements
this course is delivered in English so a good understanding of the spoken and written word is essential.
Career path
A first step in construction safety leading to a CSCS Card, and other similar qualifications, NVQ's etc.
