Description

Structure of Qualification

To achieve the CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing,you will need to successfully complete the following two modules:

  • Marketing Principles
  • Customer Communications

Each of these modules has 9 credits, so the course is 18 credits in total. If you don’t attain the full qualification, you can achieve a distinct, self-contained award for each module that you pass.

Our pass rate for CIM students in 2017 was 94% - based on Level 3 and Level 4 students' results for between April and December 2017 (covering all three assessment points for the year).

Key Topics

Marketing

  • This first module gives an understanding of the key concepts and terminology of marketing and how it fits within the organisation. It introduces the principles of consumer behaviour and the marketing environment. It identifies the elements of the marketing mix and how the mix is used to meet customer requirements.

Customer Communications

  • This module provides an understanding of the main elements of marketing communications and how they can be used in practice to engage with customers. Key marketing activities are considered in the context of developing a marketing communications campaign for customers.

Evidence of achieving one of the following English Language qualifications within the last two years is required if English is not your first language: IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above is required. Other equivalent alternatives will be considered.
