What’s trending? Who doesn’t have any exposure to social media? In a short period of time social media had gained a wide and vast number of users that is why the number of social media websites increases as well. Men and women of all ages are exposed in what we call social media marketing that focuses on gaining attention and traffic from customers or potential customers for brand exposure.

Social media marketing strategy is to create content that attracts attention that encourages readers to share across social networks to broaden customer reach and possibly draw new customers to the website.

At the end of this course, students shall learn how to: (1) understand social media; (2) be familiar with social media marketing using Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter; (3) understand propriety and politeness in social media marketing; (4) promote social media marketing on YouTube; (5) learn the significance of Google+ in SEO; (6) uphold social media marketing success on Pinterest, Vine and Instagram and (7) learn of the success of social media marketing on websites.

To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.

Getting direct feedback from customers or potential customers is possible through social media marketing. It is also a form of advertising and advertisements should not be misleading or deceptive.
