Difficulties in life or trauma may cause mental health problems, which could prevent an individual from functioning fully in their everyday life. This course helps to identify the causes of mental health issues as well as offering possible solutions.
Recovering from mental health problems is not impossible. Therapists, life coaches, psychologists and counsellors manage and treat mental health issues.
Positive mental health allows full realization of potential, as well as making a meaningful contribution to the community. Maintaining a good mental health ensures a healthy and happy life.
At the end of this course, students shall learn how to: (1) understand various concepts of mental health; (2) understand policies for mental health; (3) communicate with mental health teams and (4) join advocacy services.
To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.
