Description

On several occasions what makes someone standout is the simplicity of the dress and the outstanding beauty of the jewellery. Jewellery has always been linked with wealth, prosperity, possession, luxury, status and beauty. Mostly women are the ones who take interest in jewellery. Jewellery are objects worn for adornment, examples are earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings, anklets and others.

The art of designing jewelleries from materials like gold, silver, expensive gems, precious stones is called jewellery design. Jewellery design is of a high expression of creativity and imagination. Other materials like paper and wood are also being used to design jewellery.

At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:

(1) design jewellery;

(2) prepare for jewellery design career;

(3) seek work in jewellery;

(4) gain familiarization about the business and

(5) sell your designs.

To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.

Anyone who has genuine passion and flair for design can explore and become a jewellery designer. Reward your creativity by designing and creating and seeing your imagination take a real form.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
