At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:

(7) understand soft furnishings;
(8) understand presentation techniques;

(10) understand bathroom and kitchen design; and

Description
Have you been fascinated how a hotel or its dining hall is designed? Or even the bathroom or the kitchen? The credit should go to the interior designer. Interior designers are considered professionals in interior designing which is the creative practice of conceptualizing and refining the design. Designing considers colour, furniture, lighting fixtures, the space, the concept, the balance or symmetry, the style and theme, scale and proportion and these are just a few that are being considered.
At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:
(1) understand interior design;
(2) be familiar with colour and colour theory;
(3) be aware of the application of colour;
(4) gain knowledge of the fundamentals drawing skills;
(5) comprehend style and furniture;
(6) be familiar with perspective drawing;
(7) understand soft furnishings;
(8) understand presentation techniques;
(9) be familiar with materials and fittings;
(10) understand bathroom and kitchen design; and
(11) understand the design profession.
To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.
Clients of interior designers are usually high-end, interior designing are needed for buildings, restaurants and private residences of celebrities, businessmen or a person of influence and power.
