Overview

The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015 have replaced CDM 2007 and so Astutis is offering our 1 day CDM 2015 Awareness Course to update you and ensure you are compliant.

This course provides essential information targeted at those working in construction or associated sectors and roles affected by CDM and also offers people new to CDM an introduction to the 2015 Regulations to help you understand your legal responsibilities.

The course is split into 6 modules and covers;

Module 1: Introduction to CDM 2015:

  • Scope, application, and interpretation of key terminology
  • Codes of practice
  • Industry guidance

Module 2: Clients' new duties and responsibilities including domestic projects.

Module 3: Health and safety duties and roles of duty holders:

  • Principal Designer
  • Designer
  • Principal Contractor
  • Contractor

Module 4: Overview of the general health and safety requirements for all construction sites.

Module 5: Key documentation:

  • Notification
  • Pre-construction information
  • Construction phase plan
  • Health and safety file

Module 6: Summary and questions

Assessment

The end of course assessment comprises delegate reflection and discussion as to how they intend to ensure compliance.
