COURSE INTRODUCTION

This short course addresses both the theory and practical aspects of safely using a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Signal Generator (Genny). Students will be taught essentials on how to use the equipment before a practical element where they will be shown how to correctly trace and mark underground service lines. Training is delivered in line with HSG 47 for Avoiding Danger from Underground Services.
