Overview

This is a course designed for students who would like to pursue a career in finance particularly for those interested in the field of accounting. You will acquire both the knowledge and skills employers are looking for along with a strong understanding of the current issues in modern accounting and finance.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be exempt from 9 ACCA papers.

Who is this course for?

This is a course designed for students who would like to pursue a career in finance particularly for those interested in the field of accounting.

Requirements

Grades BBC at A Level and Grade C or grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent qualifications).

In addition to the above entry requirements, applicants with further professional body qualifications (papers) applying for BSc Accounting & Finance have the following options:

ACCA F1-F4 or CIMA BA1-BA4: direct entry to Year 2

ACCA F1-F9: direct entry to Year 3

For international students, we require an English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

We are now offering a pre-sessional English course to students who need to improve their English skills

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
