Overview

Brokerage Operations experts delivers timely entries and updates to clients’
accounts and platforms as requested by the client, through internal departmental
requests and from various regulatory groups. They work closely with Sales and
Client Services teams to ensure clients have a well-rounded and smooth
experience, from setting up and funding an account, to day-to-day activity. This

overview of brokerage operation, identify the key roles of brokerage operations,
and review the different types of accounts. The course will explore customer
identification program and review the differences between the main types of

Description

This Certificate Course will introduce participants to Fundamentals of Brokerage
Operations that covers all phases of securities processing within a brokerage
firm. Participants will gain a good understanding of the trade life cycle and how
the trade settlement process relates to other parts of the broker dealer, such as
finance and regulatory reporting. This Certificate course will review industry
participants and utilities such as the clearing corporations and how they are an
integral part of the operations process. This brokerage operation course will also
discuss the changes in the marketplace and trade execution venues and how
those changes have affected the trade settlement process.
