I can confirm that you are able to do it provided you are currently teaching and have the support of the training institution. This is because 8 of your lessons will have to be observed either by qualify staff within that training institution or by one of our staff.

This does not include the certificate, how much will this be? What does it mean by materials only.

The material is basically for the study materials and tutor support. The support includes a phone call, email correspondence and skype call. The certificate process includes assessment of the coursework and the internal/external verification, which the cost is not included. we charge £150 per unit and you are expected to achieve 7 units to have the full diploma.

You are qualified to enrol on the training because the minimum educational attainment required is level 3. The other requirement you are expected to meet is access to 100 hours of teaching.

You are able to do the course. In terms of assessment, you will be expected to submit 7 assignments satisfying different assessment criteria for each module. For the practical, you will be expected to do the followings: 1. Submit a Scheme of Work and Session plans covering a minimum of 100 hours 2. Deliver teaching sessions covering a minimum of 100 hours. 3. Upload a minimum of eight 1 hour video coverage if your teaching sessions 4. Submit a minimum of 8 teaching reflective reports

There is no external examination. You will be provided with assignment briefs that are internally assessed and at the same time internal and external verified before certification.

This is a full teaching qualification. Nothing again apart from applying for the QTLS licence, which is optional.

As this is a competence-based qualification, you are required to teach in order to achieve the qualification. Please also note that you will be to present a teaching practice portfolio consisting of 100 hours of practice. We do not place learners, but we are happy to provide documents to be given to the prospective placement.

Having said this, you are able to teach across age group after achieving QLTS. Please note that this qualification provides training for those individuals who aspire to, or hold, a teaching role with an extensive range of teaching or training responsibilities, including those in more than one context. It is the recognised full teaching qualification for the sector.

QTLS is gained by completing a process known as 'professional formation' after you have completed your Diploma in Education & Training, and by being a member of the professional association the Society for Education and Training (SET), which is part of the Education and Training Foundation (ETF). The Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training is a generic teacher training qualification for a broad range of subject/vocational areas but there is Level 5 Specialist Diploma in Teaching Disabled Learners. You might want to consider this, although the generic DET would allow you to teach broad subject/vocational areas.

Not in all cases. If you have already completed 120 credits at level 1 (first year of a typical university degree) and completing another 120 credits at level 5, then you must have completed the 240 credits needed to be in the final degree. Based, on the information so far, we would not be able to give a definite answer.

You have to be teaching a small or large group of learners. It is not enough to manage a supplementary school but must be involved in the delivery of the curriculum.
