AfN Certified Nutrition Course at levels 3 and 4
In this course you will gain a strong understanding of the role of nutrition in the human body by understanding each of the main food groups. We will then focus on understanding diets, well-being and obesity by examining the human energy balance, body detoxification as well as gaining a deep understanding of our metabolism.
We will also focus on examining special diets, children’s diets, marketing terminology and food labels. You will also gain practical guidance on how to affect human behaviour, understanding how to assess and measure dietary intake and how to adjust for specific needs. You will also learn about the dietetic management of disease, covering diabetes, disorders of the stomach, cardiovascular disease and food allergies.
AfN Course Certification
This course has been certified by the Association for Nutrition. It meets the AfN standards for nutrition training of individuals working at Levels 3 and 4 on the Public Health Skills & Careers Framework, which may include community food workers, nutrition advisers, nutrition assistants and health trainers. The course is also suitable for those with no background in nutrition and more details can be found on the Association for Nutrition's website.
CPD Certification Services
This course is accredited by the CPD Certification Service, which is an independent body that ensures qualifications are in line with professional standards. Organisations that are already members of the CPD Certification Service include the NHS, the General Medical Council, the Health and Care Professionals Council and other organisations.
