Description
This course is designed to teach you the skills that are required for character design and animation and will help you to program them into a 2D hack and slash side scroller game. It is a fantastic study companion to students studying IT at KS2/3 level or any individual looking to understand how a computer game is made. There are three stages that make up the course:
Stage one has a strong focus on character design with the utilisation of traditional drawing techniques. It will also teach you the basic interface and features of Adobe’s Photoshop.
Stage two introduces you to the 12 principles of animation as used by Disney Animation Studios. This is also where you will begin to animate your character.
Stage three places your character into the actual game with the help of the Unity games engine.
