Description

Are people always coming to you for advice?

Do you enjoy solving problems and helping people achieve their goals?

If you’ve answered yes to any of these, then a career in Life Coaching could be perfect for you. This course is for you if you’ve never done any coaching before but you feel like it is something you could do, given the right training.

In the UK, there is no legal requirement to have any qualifications to become a Life Coach and this is true for many countries world wide. All you need to have is an ability to get on with people, listen to their needs and be able to motivate them to achieve their goals.

While there is no requirement to have qualifications, if you want to get clients and provide an exceptional service that keeps them coming back and recommending you to others, you will need to know what you’re doing! Clients will also feel more confident in your abilities if you do have certification and it also helps when you’re looking for insurance.

A lot of Life Coaching courses assume you know the basics of what you’re doing and that’s not always the case if you are new to this sector. In this course you will learn all you need to know to get started, including:

* Basic principles of coaching
* Coaching models and how to use them in real life with clients
* Building rapport and lasting relationships with clients
* Pre-session tips and printable forms
* How to structure a session
* After care/follow up
* Putting together a coaching package

Unlike a lot of other Life Coaching courses out there, this course gets right to the basics and cuts out the fluff! If you want to get started as a Life Coach but don’t want pay thousands of pounds or do hours of training first, this is for you. Learn all you need to start working with clients right away.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
