This Cooking course teaches learners the skills and principles of effective baking
skills, to develop the mind of learners and thinking process for becoming a baker
and successful pastry kitchen manager. Participants will have a good understanding
of the important principles and practical techniques needed to manage other bakers
and the ability needed to safely work with baking and pastry equipment.
At the end of this diploma course, participants will be awarded with a Diploma in
Bakery Management, and will also be able to:
Ensure that all bakery items and food in a bakery are kept fresh.
Ensure the bakery premises is clean and germs free.
Coordinate with stores manager and other bakery staff in serving customers.
Maintain and control inventory of baked items.
Replenish food items according to the customers demand and needs.
Ensure that bakery items are baked or cooked according to the customers’
tastes and needs.
Ensure that nutritional values are not lost in baking, processing or cooking
items.
Ensure deliciousness in baked items to attract customers.
Ensure compliance of all food processing laws and regulations.
Analyse the market trends and implementing growth strategies effectively
