What we're all about
LCL Awards is one of the Building Services Engineering (BSE) sectors foremost awarding organisation and certification bodies, offering qualifications and courses via a network of approximately 200 approved centres located nationwide.
LCL Awards issues certificates and awards qualifications in the following sectors: gas heating, oil heating, energy efficiency, plumbing and electro-technical. In addition, we have developed industry-qualifications for renewable technologies.
LCL Awards is;
- Accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in accordance with BS EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 Conformity Assessment – General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons in accordance with its schedule of accreditation as published on the UKAS website
- A recognised Awarding Organisation (AO) carrying out examination, assessment and certification of learners in Regulated Qualifications within their scope of recognition granted by the qualification regulators in England, Wales and Northern Ireland namely;
- The Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England
- Qualifications Wales (QW) in Wales
- CCEA Regulation in Northern Ireland
- Certificated by British Assessment Bureau against the requirements of ISO9001:2015
LCL Awards renewable qualifications are recognised by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) Registration Bodies. Installation businesses must be MCS registered in order for their customers to take advantage of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
We also offer the following LCL Awards approved courses including; Domestic Electrical Installer, Hot Water Systems and Safety (Part G, including Unvented Hot Water), Water Regulations and Legionella Prevention.
