ILM became part of the City & Guilds Group when it was formed in November 2001 through the merger of the Institute of Supervision and Management and the National Examining Board for Supervision and Management.

ILM is Europe’s largest management body, and has the UK’s widest range of leadership and management qualifications. It also offers: approval for training centres with full guidance and support; recognition and endorsement for in-house training; consultancy; accreditation for trainers; and research services.

ILM awards more than 95,000 qualifications every year, and its products and services are available in over 80 countries.
