About the Course
This 4-day course covers the certification by APMG and the DSDM Consortium that has been created to sit alongside PRINCE2® as an approach to project management. The course is equally divided between the theory of agile project management and practical experience of techniques and disciplines involved.

The course is aimed at Project Managers who are adding to their knowledge of traditional approaches such as PRINCE2® , or who are operating in an agile environment running more complex and scalable projects.
Course Approach and Content SPOCE offer this course as 2 day Foundation and 4 day Foundation and Practitioner options.
This is the 4 day Foundation and Practitioner course and is a mixture of input and practical sessions teaching to both the ‘Foundation’ and ‘Practitioner’ APMG Syllabus levels, delivered by an APMG approved trainer with practical experience of project management. The course prepares delegates for and incorporates both the Foundation and Practitioner exams and includes additional focus on the application of the method using Practitioner-level tasks and ‘objective test’ style exam questions.
The pre-course material includes SPOCE’s highly acclaimed event preparation materials and the AgilePM® Manual. Delegates should spend approximately 10 hours studying this pre-course material in order to be well prepared for the course.
Course Content • Fundamentals and the Philosophy; Principles; Preparation; Lifecycle and Products; Team structures • Roles and Responsibilities; Communication; MoSCoW and Timeboxing; Lifecycle Configuration • Estimation & Measurement; Quality & Maintainability; Planning, Control & Risk; Implementing AgilePM.
Course Objectives
To give delegates a practical understanding of Agile Project Management which is based on the internationally recognised framework of DSDM Atern. This will enable delegates to become immediately productive as a project manager in an agile project environment. To highlight the difference between simple lightweight agile approaches which typically operate at the solution delivery (or ‘work package’) level and the greater holistic view of how multiple work streams are co-ordinated with the appropriate level of governance and control. The course also prepares delegates for both the Foundation and Practitioner.
Exams
Foundation: 40 mins, closed-book. 50 multiple choice questions. Required pass mark 50% (25/50).
Practitioner: 2½-hours, open-book (AgilePM® Handbook v2 only). Objective-test. 4 questions, 20 marks per question). Required pass mark 50%. (40/80)
Passing the exams will give you internationally recognised professional qualifications.

Requirements
No requirements to sit the full foundation and practitioner although some project experience will be helpful. Practitioner exam has a prerequisite of passing the Foundation in the first part of the week.
