Summary
Overview
Psychology is the study of mind and behaviour, and in a deeper sense, psychology digs further into what motivates specific behaviours, how to deal with these, and what stops an individual from making the right choices and progressing in life.
In the quest of seeking wider knowledge, the study of psychology has given birth to different approaches and methodologies. These now explore concepts such as cognition, attention, emotion, intelligence, motivation, personality, and interpersonal relationships, among other vital areas.
Over the years, psychologists have played a therapeutic role as they seek to understand human motivations. Humans have a complex set of motivation, including a desire to belong, self-image, self-consistency, truth, love, and control. The milestones of psychologists have made a strong impact and benefited society in great lengths.
