Study Hours

  • The learning hours for this course are up to 300 hours, which is around 30 minutes per day for 18 months.


Study Method

  • Study completely online using our award-winning learning platform, MyOxbridge.


Course Duration

  • On average, students complete this course in 12 months, but we'll give you up to 24 months. Don’t worry if you go over the year though, we can organise an extension to your course for an additional fee, which also extends your tutor support.


Assessment

  • You will be expected to complete three standard written A-level Computer Science exams and one practical exam:

    Written exams:

    • 1 hour 30 minutes, 25% of A-level, 75 marks
    • 1 hour 30 minutes, 25% of A-level, 75 marks
    • 2 hours, 25% of A-level, 75 marks

    Practical exam:

    • 2 hours 30 minutes, 25% of A-level, 75 marks

    As part of the practical exam, you will submit complete program code and evidence of testing and will be required to use either Java, VB.NET or Python programming languages.

    We provide a guaranteed exam space in one of our partner exam centres around the UK.

    We also offer an exam pass guarantee. If you don’t pass the first time, we’ll support you for free, for your next exams.

    Assignments

    During your course, you’ll be required to complete various assignments. These do not contribute towards your final grade but provide you with an opportunity to submit work to your tutor for marking and feedback. This will help you to monitor your progress and will be used to produce predicted grades if needed.
