VAT Director
My Client, is a well known and highly reputable firm of chartered accountants based in Maidstone, Kent. We're assisting them in their search for a VAT Director to further strengthen their well-established and highly reputable indirect tax team in Kent and the Southeast. This position will be advisory focused, while overseeing the compliance function, working with a wide array of clients across the South-East. You will be responsible for: Leading the VAT team on all areas of VAT adviceTechnical research for a breadth of topics and keeping the wider tax team apprised of technical developmentsDrafting reports and letters of advice for a wide range of clients and industriesLiaising with clients and attending meetingsBusiness development including marketing areas of opportunityManaging and developing members of the VAT team. Advisory Exposure: Leading topical advisory matters to clients across the practiceAdvising businesses on VAT efficient structuring of their affairsAdvising on VAT considerations for international tradeImplementing partial exemption special schemesAd hoc advice on a wide range of VAT matters for the firm’s diverse client base Requirements VAT Director in Maidstone: You will have significant experience providing VAT advice, working within a practice environment, in house, or at HMRC.You will have had broad exposure to most areas of UK VAT, with a working knowledge of EU VAT requirements as they apply to UK businesses.ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
