Business Development Manager
A fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a fast growing, commercially focused organisation operating within a regulated, infrastructure led environment. This role sits within a national sales division and focuses on winning new business and developing long term client relationships across a broad range of multi site and enterprise customers. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying, shaping and closing complex opportunities, working closely with internal delivery teams to ensure commercially sound and operationally viable outcomes. This is a highly consultative role, well suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, relationship building and negotiating solutions rather than transactional sales. Location: You will be based from home with regular travel to client sites, however, you MUST BE BASED IN NORTHERN ENGLAND to cover the North region. Must drive with own car. Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 basic + car allowance + commission Requirements for Business Development Manager: Strong commercial experience in a Business Development, Sales or New Business focused roleProven ability to win new business through consultative selling and negotiationExperience working with complex or multi stakeholder customer environmentsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalComfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and decision makersStrong commercial awareness with the ability to manage pricing, margin and approvalsConfident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office toolsHighly organised, self motivated and able to manage multiple opportunities concurrentlyAbility to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teamsFlexible and proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunitieStrong problem solving and decision making skillsAbility to remain calm and professional under pressureExperience within infrastructure, utilities, construction, facilities, energy, sustainability or technical B2B sales environments would be beneficial, but is not essential.
