You will undertake standard Actuarial work including valuations, individual calculations, asset and liability modelling and strategy planning. The Role:This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified actuary to join our client's growing analytics team, focused on the performance of the European Protection business. The role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders, contributing to business planning, financial reporting, and the identification of strategic opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and explain quarterly financial results (e.g., QBR, IRT) Support business planning with forward-looking insights Liaise with actuarial, finance, operations, and pricing teams to ensure accurate reporting Identify opportunities that deliver added value to the business Build and manage relationships across departments Skills & Experience: Qualified actuary with 1+ year post-qualification experience Background in life insurance or reinsurance (UK Protection preferred) Strong grasp of actuarial valuation principles and processes Proficient in Excel; knowledge of Tyche or similar software beneficial Excellent analytical and communication skills Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Adaptable and collaborative, with a proactive mindset Behaviours & Competencies: Strong technical understanding and industry awareness Clear and confident communicator Self-driven and solution-oriented Comfortable with change and complexity

Actuarial Analytics & Insights (Protection) The team is responsible for analysing and explaining financial results for both existing and new business under various reporting bases. The team works across functions supporting strategic decisions and improving understanding of the Protection business's financial performance. Key Responsibilities Analyse and explain financial results, including attribution, sensitivities, and future scenarios Assist in business performance reviews and suggest actionable insights Work with cross-functional teams to support reporting and financial understanding Contribute to the development of economic insights for the European Protection business Requirements Part-qualified actuary with at least 2 years' experience in life insurance or reinsurance Strong understanding of actuarial valuation principles Experience in the UK Protection market (preferred) Strong MS Excel skills; familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., Tyche, or others) Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines independently Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Comfortable with change, adaptable and proactive Competencies Technically proficient and commercially aware Collaborative, with good stakeholder engagement Self-motivated, pragmatic, and solution-oriented Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
