This opportunity will allow the incumbent to really learn and develop themselves across Reserving, Reporting and Data Management. We're looking for an Actuary who likes the idea of having a breadth across these disciplines and supporting the Actuarial Lead with the Pricing requirements too. This is suited to someone who likes the idea of being in a smaller insurance company, but getting a broader exposure.  Experience across any form of General Insurance is ideal - personal lines or P&C. Experience in Reserving, Reporting or Capital - or a combination of all three. Pricing is advantageous but not essential. Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary level. We are working with a leading employer in the financial services sector who have a reputation for challenging existing thinking on pensions, actuarial, benefits and investment advice. As an organisation they have grown consistently over the last couple of years in terms of new business acquisitions and new business wins with no sign of slowing down. As they grow and evolve further, they are now technical pensions and/or actuarial professionals to join them within newly created GMPe Calculations Test Analyst roles. These new roles are offered on a flexible hybrid pattern and can be based out of any of their City based offices across the UK. You will be joining their expanding Actuarial & Consulting teams, where you will be able to further utilise and develop your industry technical expertise by: Testing results and outputs on Pension and Actuarial calculation and data projects.Collaborating with the project team to understand the project needs and contribute to the test approach and planning.Defining testing requirements, drafting test plans, coverage, scripts and expected results from project documentation and by working with the project team.Executing the tests and record results, logging issues and drafting testing reports.Analysing results and identifying remedial actions.Participating in client meetings and project status calls.Supporting the technical development of their technology platforms through participation in new and/or enhanced developments. Already possessing some level of experience in testing on complex Pension projects including calculations and/or data with end-to-end experience of the project lifecycle, you will also possess excellent technical pension’s knowledge in Defined Benefit schemes (and legislation) and experience in working with complex Defined Benefit pension calculations testing including GMPe projects. Any familiarity with different testing approaches and tools, would be highly advantageous.
