Waste Operations Manager Permanent

Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.

As a member of the Environment and Infrastructure leadership team this role provides the unique and challenging opportunity to strategically lead, manage and influence the Council’s Waste collection and disposal service delivered to Renfrewshire's households and residents.

You will have experience of formulating and implementing strategic plans and experience of waste services within a large and complex organisation, working strategically with key partners to develop and deliver services, leading and supporting strategic change, service delivery and service improvements including culture change and team building and experience in financial management.

You will have knowledge of the statutory and legislative requirements of the service and relevant national and local programmes and frameworks, knowledge and understanding of route optimisation systems and resource management and have effective communication, presentation, written, influencing and negotiation skills at all levels. You will have significant leadership, management skills corporately and in front line service delivery area.

It is essential that you possess a relevant degree or professional qualification or evidence of professional competence and skill. You will have evidence of continuing, relevant and professional development.

Driving Licence is essential.
