Adecco Manchester are pleased to be recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join a specialist distributor based in Stretford, Manchester.

This is a full time, permanent position

  • A starting salary of £30,000-£35,000
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekend or evening work
  • 08:30-17:00

Role scope

The business will soon be implementing an E-Commerce division so that valued customers can purchase direct from website. To support this, the business is in the process of implementing a new ERP/Warehouse Management System. The successful candidate will assist in aligning this new system to warehouse processes and procedures to ensure a smooth transition, and will work in partnership with the current Warehouse Team Leader to ensure the distribution centre runs efficiently.

  • A good knowledge of warehouse HSEQ (Health, safety, environment, quality)
  • Excellent system knowledge
  • Desirable - worked on a project or in an environment implementing a new ERP/WMS system
  • Good leadership skills
  • Able to work with spreadsheets and read data to make informed decisions
  • Adaptable and open to change

Responsibilities and experience required

  • Good understanding of the efficiency of the end-to-end warehouse and logistics processes including goods in, receipting, inspection, quarantine, picking, packing, labelling, marking and dispatching, to ensure on time delivery of products to customers and achievement of customer contract KPI's
  • Working with ERP specialists and senior Managers to consider new processes, track efficiency and train personnel on new ways of working
  • Reviewing spreadsheets and using data to inform good decision making
  • Working across both an office and distribution centre environment and able to manage your time accordingly
  • Working on key projects such as implementation of a new ERP and warehouse management system and also the implementation of a new e-commerce system
  • Inducting, training and ongoing development of personnel
  • Assist with compiling, tracking and reviewing KPI's for the warehouse function and, where necessary, identifying trends, recommending and implementing corrective actions
  • Happy to step in and support the operatives working in the distribution centre
