Warehouse Manager

The RoleWe are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to join our Warehouse team in Immingham. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the efficient management and control of the warehouse operation. Provide an effective, reliable service to customers both internal and external whilst acting in accordance with any legislative requirements and company policy. P&L responsibility for ensuring budgets are met and costs controlled.

Who we want…Someone to work closely with Operational Management and Supervisors to plan and prioritise work; identify any existing or potential problems and agree how they should be resolved. Other duties include: Planning, co-ordinating and monitoring the receiving, storage, and dispatch of customer’s goods. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation and traceability requirements. Ensure the setup, layout and space utilisation is efficient. Initiate, co-ordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. Reduce costs, improve efficiency & and enhance wellbeing by looking for and recommending any new methods of working. Develop a highly motivated team of Supervisors by encouragement and promotion of open communication and holding regular briefing sessions. Liaise with customers internal and external, suppliers and transport companies to ensure the highest level of service. Monitor damage claims and develop methods of work which reduce mistakes, keeping damage and costs to a minimum. Build strong relationships with customers as their main point of contact. Communicate regularly with them and resolve any issues in good time.
