Waking Night Support Worker - Hayle - Part time 18 - 30 hours

Posted 21 June by Mencap

Would you like to finish work each morning knowing you have made a difference?

We are looking for a positive, compassionate and caring Support Worker to work within our Hayle service on a part time basis (18 hours-30 hours) where we support 3 people with a learning disability.

You will be responsible and involved in the everyday (or night rather!) of one person in particular in this service who requires support throughout the night. She needs regular observations, and supporting him before going to bed, and waking up in the morning.

There will also be light domestic duties that you will undertake throughout the night.

We put the people who we support at the heart of what we do. We make sure that everyone is as equally involved with the recruitment process as our very own recruitment team. If you look at the pink box titled"additional information" you'll see some information about the gentleman that you will be supporting.

You will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays - we do try to be flexible and plan our rota's in advance to accommodate your own commitments, but ideally you will be someone who can be as flexible as possible.

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)

This position is based in Hayle.
