This role is essential in supporting me; the owner of a virtual PA business. I provide business and personal administrational support to entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Your role will allow the business to grow and continue providing a high level of customer service to current clients.

The main purpose and responsibilities will be delegated client administration requests, managing small projects and running client errands. In time, you will become responsible for your own client account which will involve organising members meetings and events.

You will be based at home working 16 hours per week but regular face to face meetings either in person or via Skype will take place to discuss the coming week or actions required that day.

Main Tasks:

Every day there will be general administration tasks requiring actioning, such as but not limited to: cloud filing, scanning, placing orders with Amazon, obtaining quotes, booking training courses and typing up notes.

Research plays a vital part in this role. You’ll need to be somebody who doesn’t mind delving into things and finding vital information fast including the best prices! You will be researching things such as travel routes and costs, potential business opportunities on behalf of clients, new products, competitors, shows and events, meeting rooms and speakers

You will also be involved in other short-term and long-term projects as and when required.

The role will be quite varied, and you’ll have the opportunity to work in many different business sectors, keeping each day interesting.

Experience:

You must have at least 2-3 years’ experience working as an administrator, secretary or PA and be able to demonstrate project management skills. Experience in customer service would be an advantage.

Strong IT skills are essential with a good knowledge of Microsoft programmes: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in Wordpress would be a bonus. You must not feel daunted by using other software packages nor should you feel uncomfortable with rectifying PC issues. If you are, this role may not be ideal for you, as there will not be instant technical support on hand.

The role requires you to be methodical in processes with the ability to effectively manage multi projects - time management is essential.

Working from home will require you to be self-motivated, pro-active, have an eye for accuracy and detail with strong verbal and written communication skills.

I’m looking for a reliable, friendly, positive, conscientious and trustworthy person who isn’t afraid to embrace accountability and responsibility - a sense of humour is also essential! I’d like you to be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a team player and open to change.

Equipment:

You will be provided with a PC, monitor and all necessary consumables to fulfil your role effectively. All equipment will remain the property of SO.

Pay:

16 hours per week working (days to be agreed) with 89 hours paid holiday (includes bank holidays). I do try to close for Christmas, therefore you may receive an additional 3-4 days paid holiday. This will be decided upon after taking the businesses needs into consideration.
