UX Research Manager

Join an ever expanding finance company located in London. Sitting in the UX/UI team you will have 2 direct reports, one being research focused the other heavily into data analytic. You will be expected to help guide and teach while having a strong analytic background yourself.

Key responsibilities for the UX Research Manager are:

  • Line managing the UX Analyst and UX Discovery Executive
  • Taking responsibility for the Discovery and Analysis phases of the UCD process, and assistance with ongoing assessments of solutions
  • Managing a programme of user testing and insight that informs individual projects and identifies opportunities for future strategy and activity
  • Presentation of insight back to internal stakeholders, and gain buy-in to recommendations
  • Creating the necessary documentation that outlines research/testing/data analysis findings
  • Working with the Head of User Experience to present insight and shape future activity plans
  • Owner of analytics/research software and tools
  • Ownership of personas and user journeys
  • Recommending new tools and techniques that will advance the quality of the data collection and analysis
  • Support the Head of User Experience in continuing to change the culture of the organisation towards that of a user-focused one by raising the profile of the UX team and challenging assumptions within the business


The successful UX Research Manager will have ideally come for a data ayalytis backgroud with:

  • Extensive working knowledge of using Google Analytics
  • An understanding of Google Tag Manager
  • Evidence of having managed a user research programme
  • Experience of facilitating user research/testing
  • Experience of using user research tools including Optimal Workshop, Hotjar, Morae or similar
  • Numerate with a solid academic background
  • Educated to degree level, ideally with studies associated to HCI, psychology or data science
  • A track record of managing a successful team, ideally within a Digital or Analytical team
  • An effective presenter who can simplify complexities for the layman
  • Stakeholder management and influencing experience, ideally on a global / international scale
  • Ability to craft and manage a programme of continuous delivery
  • Team player

Job Offer

On offer for the sussecful UX Manager is £45 000 - £50 000 per year (depending on the skillset) benefits and a bright career path.
