About the Role: Technical Support Engineer
They are actively seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to strengthen their dynamic Tech Support organization. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support for a wide range of IT, Unified Communications, and Collaboration solutions, both on-premises and in the Cloud. Your responsibilities will encompass troubleshooting, customer service, and collaboration with their engineering team. Comprehensive training will be provided on products, solutions, and technologies, enabling you to grow and develop specialized knowledge to meet the high standards the business is known for.
Location: Bolton area
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to engineers and customers, analysing and troubleshooting problems remotely or on-site.
Service Level Achievement: Meet customer requirements and SLA targets, monitoring and reporting progress against commitments.
Escalation Case Management: Ensure rapid resolution of critical incidents with high business impact, keeping stakeholders informed.
Customer Interaction: Demonstrate excellent customer care and communication skills, ensuring customer and partner satisfaction.
Installation & Configuration: Perform installation and configuration activities for solutions through remote or on-site support.
Technical Capability: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT landscape with in-depth expertise in assigned solutions, products, and technologies.

- Passion for technology and dedication to ongoing professional development.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required.
- Capability to work independently in customer environments, including providing stand-by support.
- Ability to deliver technical training to internal and external clients (desired).
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Relevant work experience in Unified Communications, Collaboration, and WiFi/Networking.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Thorough knowledge and experience of converged voice & data technology in IP networking environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Highly developed troubleshooting approach and skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience of NEC SV8100/SV9100, SL series, and associated applications.
- Familiarity with legacy PBX and voice communications technology and protocols.
- Experience in WiFi installation/maintenance (Ubiquiti and Meraki), CCTV (Hikvision), and Audio-Visual technologies (Crestron/Control4/Mersive).
- Expertise in IP Networking devices (LAN/WAN), design, configuration, and operation.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience of Server Virtualization technologies.
