Underwriting Performance Analyst

A large Global Lloyd's Market Insurer is currently recruiting for an Underwriting Performance Analyst to work in their London City office.

The role holder will play a key supporting role as one of two analysts within the Underwriting Performance team reporting into the Group Underwriting Performance Manager.
The role holder will be expected to design, produce and run accurate and timely reports to allow the Underwriting Performance team to assess, monitor, and track underwriting performance across the business.

Support the Underwriting Performance Manager in reviewing underwriting performance. This includes the oversight of the calculation, recording and reporting of key underwriting performance metrics including technical price, estimate loss cost, renewal rate movement and aggregate exposure.
Design monitoring reports as appropriate to help in the assessment of underwriting performance and ensure that such reports are produced accurately and regularly.
Design reports identifying triggers/KPIs with regard to technical underwriting performance metrics which will aid the team in challenging class performance and data inconsistencies.
Attend and help maintain an accurate record of class performance meetings and report to senior management accordingly.
Support the Underwriting Performance Manager in establishing a top down guidance process to give clarity to SBU's on expected results.
Assist in providing challenge to underwriting results at each stage of the business planning process.
Help the Underwriting Performance Manager and Syndicate Underwriting Performance Manager co-ordinate as necessary reports and returns to other external stakeholders such as the FCA and Lloyd's.

Experience Required
Experience of working in the Insurance market in an analyst role
Advanced Excel skills
SQL and VBA experience
