My Client is a value added service supplier providing IT products and services to business and public sector organisations all over the UK. Established in 1982, they are one of the leading IT suppliers, employing over 500 staff from purpose built locations across the country.
They are actively seeking a new Marketing Director to join their dynamic and forward think Board of Director. This person will be responsible for the delivering of a fully transformed Marketing function, people, processes and technology. A commercially focused marketer, skilled in digital, channel shift and customer experience. The ability to execute strategy driven by ROI by utilising existing team skills or by partnership.
Key themes: Marketing effectiveness, adept at strategic alignment, definition of accountability and reporting measures that count.
This is a new and exciting role, requiring customer centric thinking with the ability to define and execute the companies vision as a core strategic function at Board level.
The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Marketing Strategy -creative marketer, ability elevate the function at Board Level, pioneer of the marketing strategy and direction.
Marketing Plans - development, manage and review of marketing plans to ensure alignment with sales & marketing strategy.
Market Research - Skilled in the development of relevant agencies, gaining in depth understanding of market positioning, defining opportunity, focused on wallet share growth.
Brand - Guardian of the company brand and ultimate sign-off to ensure compliance. Responsibility for positioning and perception of the company within their specialist industry.
Digital - Strategic lead of the digital journey, including web and social media channels
Budget - Accountability for all marketing income , commercial compliance and ROI
CRM - Management of the customer and prospect databases via the CRM Manager
People Management - team of 6 requiring mentoring, development and management
Advanced Marketing Qualification or MBA
A proven track record in Marketing (VAR), customer experience and journey mapping
A proven track record in leading, inspiring a team through communication and behaviours
Strong commercial acumen and budget management experience
Ability to work at board level, present strategy and creative vision
Experience of fast moving environment across Horizontal & Vertical markets.
IT Industry experience essential
